Enrolment Overview

Enrolment is when you are confirmed as a student at the University. The enrolment process usually involves two stages which you must complete:

• Step 1: Pre-Enrolment: An online process where you verify your personal details, confirm your programme of studies and upload personal identification documentation
• Step 2: Face to Face Enrolment: A face-to-face enrolment session on campus. We will check your personal details and identification, scan your passport/visa (if applicable) and provide you with a student ID card.

Please note that Face to Face enrolments (excluding partners and distance learning) will recommence from 17 May. Please check the below guide and schedule for details of the enrolment process.

Entry Requirements – International

If you are an international student who is starting a programme (excluding partners and distance learning) in May or June 2021. We will be enrolling you remotely. You will then need to attend a Face-to-Face session once you have arrived in the UK and completed any self-isolation requirements. We will process you enrolment as follows:

 1. Once you have completed Pre-Enrolment we will complete an internal enrolment check:

• If you have no outstanding sanctions and have provided appropriate ID, we will process your enrolment remotely (e.g. allow you to start engaging with your studies)
• If you have outstanding sanctions and/or have not provided appropriate ID, we will not process your enrolment remotely until this is resolved. You will need to contact the appropriate team to resolve the outstanding issues

2. If your enrolment has been processed we will send you an enrolment confirmation email and you can start engaging with your studies

3. Once you have arrived in the UK (and completed any self-isolation requirements) then you will need to attend a Face-to-Face enrolment session. Please read the below section for details on what to bring to an enrolment session and for the dates and times when they are taking place:

English Language Requirements

• Bachelors degrees: IELTS 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each band (or equivalent).
• Masters degrees: IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in each other band (or equivalent).
• Postgraduate research degrees: IELTS 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in each band (or equivalent)
